Hibiscus is a cooling, tonic, and sour herb that helps to address heat in the body from lack of fluids. Hibiscus is mucilaginous and brings moisture to tissues. Affinity for kidneys and adrenals. Hibiscus is a good source of Vitamin C, which supports the immune system. When you drink Jamaica or eat Hibiscus, it is actually the calyx and not the flower that you are consuming!

Names: Tagetes erecta, variations on nahuatl name spellings, Cempoaxóchitl, Flor de Muertos, Mexican Marigold, Aztec Marigold, African Marigold, Genda (India), Sayapatri (Nepal).
Marigold is a bitter and supports liver health and digestion. The plant also supports with gas, colic, stomach pains. Marigolds promote breast milk production. They are great for the skin and support with any type of rash, infection, cut/scrape/bruise, or irritation. Marigolds are antifungal, antiseptic, antimicrobial, and antiparasitic.
