• Marcella Sadlowski, She/They

Marcella grew up speaking Spanish and eating golumbki (Polish cabbage rolls). Her roots extend to Mexico (maternal) and Poland (paternal).

Born in Long Beach, Ca, lived in New Mexico: Cochiti Lake, San Ysidro, Ca, and now humbly calls the bay area home.

Her Father, like many of his ancestors who settled in the midwest, gardened heavily in Cochiti Lake, NM, making strawberry rhubarb pie from freshly harvested backyard produce. She thinks this short (6 years) but impactful time of her childhood is what sprouted the desire to grow her own food, commune with the land, to stay close to the land.

However, her Mother’s family comes from farmworkers, braceros, coming back and forth from Mexico to Central Valley, ca., union members, entrepreneurs. So of course, she would be called back to the Earth to tend, sow, and share.

Along with growing food, Marcella has a passion for cooking food and nourishing folks. (Re)introducing folks to herbal infusions focused on healing; relieving stress and supporting immune systems.

Marcella believes food is medicine and wants to share her passion for cooking and her basic knowledge of beneficial herbs for health and wellness in these toxic times.

Marcella has experience in education +(outdoor), greywater installation (L2L), catering, and performing arts. Their favorite herb is Lemon Balm.

Her favorite way to honor the land is through offerings of flowers and songs; al menos cantos, al menos flores…
